View Full Version : pre WW2 Mossberg Model 45 AS
My father bought this rifle just before WW2 in Chicago. Limited production and sold by the Spiegel Catalog, pistol grip could have a name plate installed
I am a Moss. collector, and yes that is a Spiegel rifle. It did have a name plate attached to the grip. If not there would be no holes, as they were attached by the owner. Speigel would put the name on for you (and perhaps attach it to the rifle). BUT the holes indicate it had one at one time. Too bad it is missing! Try to find out what happened to it.

They say that there were only 137 of the 45AS made, that's nice to have some family history with that rifle. I have two of them my self with the long Spiegel scopes.
