Since I am mainly shooting M4 type rifles and only shoot A2s for Service Rifle Matches, I thought it would be a nice change to post a pic of my standard A2 government profile rifle.

For reference, this picture shows the difference in a Government profile barrel verses a standard type heavy barrel, the particular example is a 16" version.

If you are used to shooting a heavy barrel AR this type of rifle will seem almost as light and handy as a carbine, the barrel reduction really improves the handling qualities for general shooting, for Match rifles, stick with the heavy barrel.
