M1 Garand Handling (Stripping & Assembling)

My Dad was in the 4th Marines in Korea. His issued weapon was the M1. He won't talk about the war or his military service, but, I built a nice M1 about ten years ago and took it over to his house to show him. He field stripped it in seconds even though he hadn't touched a gun in 40+ years. They trained him very well, he still hasn't shot the gun but he sure knows how they work-SDH
