There will be a show and sale held at the Merrickville Community Center on the 3rd of June from 0930 to 1530. Many different exhibitors as participants were limited to two tables each. Contact John Belton the "Sultan" of cartridge collectors at 613-926-2469 for answers to questions.

How will it compare size-wise to Cornwall and Perth?

A 9:30 opening time is remarkably civilized.

I've added it to the Calendar (click here) (http://www.milsurps.com/calendar.php).
I notice that it conflicts with the Orangeville Gun Show, so some people will have to make choices.

I would think it will be larger than Cornwall. I can't see that it would be as big as the Perth show...but, there will not be any crafts, clothing or new items for sale. Tables sold out. I can't see any conflict with Orangeville as they are too far apart.

Merrickville info! Wives or girlfriends who are allowed to come along will find several hours of shopping and dining to amuse themselves. There is an inn and several B&B's for those who want to make a weekend of it.

Show is at the Community Centre, corner of Main St. West and Read St.
I believe several Gunnutz and MILSURPS members will have tables. John is trying to keep milsurps as the main theme, but sporting guns will be allowed. 48 tables now booked, might be a couple left due to cancellations! Firearms will be for show-only and/or sale.
This is a small show, a LOT smaller than Perth for sure. The show organizer, to whom reference has already been made, has taken great pains to keep the flea market type stuff out of the show. He also expressed an aversion to the "jackboot types" who, it is supposed, collect Nazi memorabilia.
I will be there with a couple tables, and my oldest son there with another table, he with "tactical" stuff and me with primarily modern hunting firearms and accessories. It does sound like the preponderance of vendors/exhibitors might be of the "historical arms" bent - including, of course, milsurps.
It does conflict with the Orangeville show, so all the "big guys" (Ken Blue, Dave Goddard, Dave Drake, Jim Webster, Paul Cormier, etc) who do most of the Ontario shows will NOT be at Merrickville.
Should be a good show, and I am looking forward to it.
Doug
