Just wanted to add my thanks and kudos
I hope it takes off!

Is there any way to add a custom avatar?
I like yours Stevo, maybe if we could all add an image of our own it would serve as an indicator of our milsurp intrests?

My mistake. :( In my defence I've been waiting for this forum since Bagder stopped with his Military Surplus Database on the other forum, and told him I'd join this one right away in a PM there and did. :D Plus I'm really bad with names, I'll remember a face for the rest of my life but a persons name will take ages for me to start to remember it! :o

No worries, Dimitri. I just want to make sure credit goes to the right person. I remember folks by their milsurps mostly. You're the blonde FN49 guy to me.:)

canuck,
Go to your User CP and click on "Edit Avatar". You can select an avatar from the stock list or upload one of your own. IIRC, they can be no larger than 19k and 80x80 pixels, so you may have to reduce the size of any pic you wish to use, prior to upload.

Great job Badger, glad to see you've got everything up and running. Also glad to see my SVT and Carcano in the knowlwdge base ;)

I'll try and scrounge up the rest of the info to complete the Cacano section.

It's important to remeber that though sometimes people consider some of us to have "comprehensive" collections from which to draw reference subjects - this is, in fact, far from true. There is an enormous variety of milsurp material out there to catalogue and add to our neat little library.

The success (or lack thereof) of this endeavor will depend largely upon the contributions of our membership.

With that in mind, I certainly hope you and others like you will consider writing and photographing submissions. These donations of effort will keep our community strong and thriving on milsurps.com
