A Swedish poster, dated 1947 (Edition 42), in mint shape. A real prize for a Swede collector like me, especially with interest in the 8x63mm Swedish round. In the lower left corner you can read that the poster can be ordered from "Försvarets Kommandoexpedition" in Stockholm.......maybe out of stock today. ;)

The poster is about 2' x 3'. Enjoy.

So do you know what the colored tips represent?

By colour I believe that they are:

Silver - Ball
Red or White - Tracer
Orange - Incendiary
Black - Armour Piercing
Green - usually Dummy

Have you had your poster translated?

Just from the looks of the poster....

Silver (plain) & Blue look like ball
Red & White = tracer
Black = AP
Orange/Red = API

I speak swedish. If you can blow that up so the wording is clear I could translate.

If someone has a source for one of those steel ammo cans pictured next to the guns, I wouldn't mind knowing where to find one.
I was shooting my 1919A4 off of the arm of my Jeep, but ran in to a problem with the belts. They are too long to fit into the standard current issue ammo can. I built a new tray which holds the cardboard box that the 8mm ammo comes in, but on seeing the tin can, I must have one. Besides, I doubt the cardboard box would last long by itself.

Neat poster. How the heck did we ever find this kind of stuff before the internet and ebay??
