Malcolm scope on a Patt. 1914

Using my Pattren 1914(IW) am considering building a replica (WWI) sniper rifle. Any thoughts on using the new Wm. Malcolm scope series by Leatherwood? Thank you.

The scope is not suitable for a P14, nor is it similar to what was used in WWI & WWI.

Keep watching eBay and you will find an Aldis scope sooner or later. A Patt. 18 is what you want, but you could use an earlier type too if you're in a hurry.

Reproduction mounts for Patt.14 Rifles have been made in the UK. If you ask around on the Enfield forums you'll find out more.

You could aso use a a Winchester A5 or B4, with side mounts.

Side mounts were only on the SMLE. I've heard reports that Canadian troops in WWI may have mounted some A5s overhead on P14 rifles, but have seen no photos.
