The laws changed a couple of years ago to make rifles in pistol calibers legal...now slug guns have been showing up in local shops. This one is US marked, barrel and receiver are ordnance bomb and P marked. The SN#17476 is in well in front of trigger assembly, SN#17130 is on barrel...346 digits earlier. The whole gun has been parked. The barrel has been altered..front and rear sights are now slug gun style.

My receiver is 17105, only 25 away from your barrel. You need to pull the stock to see the receiver number.

Thanks. Are there other SN#'d parts? I guess the long screwdriver in the butt stock will release the stock...or do I have to take anything else apart? What date do you estimate your receiver to have been made?

The buttstock will also have a number stamped where it meets the receiver. A long straight bladed screwdriver will remove the stock. I don't know the production dates of the 620, so I can't help you with that part.

This is a very reluctant bolt to remove...I can back it out but not remove it. The stock wiggles a bit but will not come out of the socket.

riot gun converted to slug gun,
id check the locking lug sqaure hole for cracks.
id bet i can remove those rifle sights pretty easy..she still has some life left, if the lug isnt cracked

There is an extension on the receiver that protrudes into the stock. If the screw is completely loose, wrap a towel into a pad, place it on the pistol grip, and use light taps with a rubber mallet to loosen it.
