eBay: World War 1 Lee Enfield Sniper scope Winchester A5 (item 280133704172 end time Jul-19-07 11:40:15 PDT) (http://cgi.ebay.com/World-War-1-Lee-Enfield-Sniper-scope-Winchester-A5_W0QQitemZ280133704172QQihZ018QQcategoryZ13974QQ ssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem)

Appears to have the mounts from the c.1930s 'low rent' Winchester scopes (the ones pictured are definately wrong for the A series scopes).

Also the tube appears to be brass, while my (and every other I've seen) WW1 era Winchester scope is blued steel.

Yup, you're right it's not a true A5 military scope...

He does side step it though by saying Winchester A5 Telescopic sight as used by British and Commonwealth snipers during the Great War. ;)

It implies that it's similar "as used", so I guess he's partly honest.

Compare it against the example in the MKL as to what it should look like...
