US Fifth Army In Italy
Amer. infantrymen chatting as they assemble & try out rifles they have chosen at hillside ammunition & supply station overlooking valley & the hills beyond on the Italian front in the Appennine Mountains.

Great great pic this just shows the mix of early and late items still in use at the very late stage of the war.....M41 Parsons Jackets....mixed with M43 jackets and M43 field caps.....Tankers Jackets

M1 carbines with M8 grenade launchers and M1928 TSMG still with Cutts Compensators and M1 garands with and without M7 launchers.

Just goes to show that in theatre nothing was as per the T and OE

Being in the wrong suit of clothes would change ones thoughts about continuing the journey up the road....:cool:
