Is there a Doctor in the house?

I have a bad case of conversionitis. I wanted an M1Aicon 22 to go along with my M1 22 conversion, but M1A receivers are hard to come by so I used an M1 receiver from IAI with M1A parts attached to it. The magazine is for AR15 22 conversion, with a little work it will fit inside the M1A mag.

Dang, I've wanted to do that for the longest time! Just hate to abuse a good receiver, and finishing out the raw casting "Mauntz" marked thing is gonna be a pile of work.

    That's inspiring though!

ETA Can't quit looking! Errrr! I see prototyping in my future!

    Thats really a neat conversion
What are you using for a bolt stop? Is it held by the mag or did you modify the clip latch?

Thanks for sharing that with us.

The bolt hold open catch comes from a BM59. You can see in the side view.
I had to cut a hole thru the receiver.

    M1/M1A Update

I just finished my project, I had to fill in the stock in a few places to fit the M1icon receiver. This weekend I tried some CCI Blazer in it and it functioned just fine, my normal ammo had been CCI Mini Mag.
