A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I will accept PayPal, Zelle, MO and good old checks (and cash if you want to stop by for a tour!). CLICK BANNER to send me a PM for International pricing and shipping. "The Freedom Builder Magazine". I prefer my magazines to hold 30 rounds. I served as an Advisor in Viet Nam. This sure brings back bad memories.

Are they M14's OR M1A's NO Select Fire parts to be seen

If you take a look at the Right Marker's rifle you will notice the ABSENCE of either the connector OR any of the other"nasty" parts like selector shaft locks etc.

I wonder if they didn't have some outfit like Springsteen Armoury or whoever build them up a few hundred(?) chromed up drill rifles out of(HOPEFULLY) scrap parts.

Scruffy looking lot is all I can say and the way they are goofing off on a parade square would have had MY old drill instructors in a tiz."IDLE ON PARADE" or some such ROAR even IF they were at "Stand Easy".

Gaudy looking uniforms too.I am going to print off a copy to show a long retired Royal Afghan Army General I know just to get his impression.HE trained in Germanyicon way way back.Shows too ! His oldest daughter works at my bank and is DROP DEAD GORGEOUS I might add.JR

Wonder if they are Polytech's. China bought our tooling and they still produce them as far as I know. Marstar in Canadaicon sells them for $400 Canadian money ( would be less for U.S. dollars but thanks to clinton they can't sell to U.S.iconcitizens ).

John, I do see the cutout for the FA selector on the stock.
From what I understand, even the US Army didn't keep the FA parts installed normally, having the selective fire parts were the exception rather than the rule.
