First let me say that if there is a more appropriate forum to discuss these, please let me know.

So I seem to have been bitten by the Colt Pocket Pistol bug, at least it is a relatively cheap addiction.

Here are my latest 3. The upper left is a 1911 M1908 in .25 ACP, upper right is a 1920 M1903 in .32 CAP and the bottom one is a 1914 M1908 in .380 CAP

The .380 one is marked PD NY

My problem is with this one. It always feeds the first round in the mag, but after that it will jam 50% of the time, and it is a jam I am unfamiliar with. The next round gets stripped out of the mag, but does not enter the chamber instead it is sitting almost vertical with the bullet touching the top of the chamber and the base on top of the next round in the mag. Anyone have any ideas? :dunno:

...over time the feed lips of the mag have spread out a little , causing the round to set too high up when the slide returns. Try another mag , and if it works , bend your old one back to the dimentions of the one that works.

I ordered a spring kit from Wolff. It came with a recoil, firing pin, extractor and extra strength magazine spring. The old magazine spring was smaller then the new one in every dimention and filt kind of wimpy. The old recoil spring was a little shorter then the new one and was smaller in diameter at one end to grab the guide rod. I replaced them both along with the extractor spring for good measure. I took the pistol to the range, along with the old recoil spring. The first several shots out of the magazine functioned fine, but then the 4th had the high angle jam. I then put the old recoil spring in and it functioned perfectly for 4 magazines including one of Speer Gold Dots. So the combination of the stronger mag. spring and the weaker recoil spring worked. :super: Thanks for all of your suggestions
