A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. Nice Lend Lease Rifle

I have a complete data sheet on Lend lease 328259 and 325924. These Lend Lease rifles are difficult to find now. My Lend Lease in the photo has a S-A 9-41 bbl.

I didn't touch this rifle. That's what makes it so precious to me. I stumbled over it when I was about 21 years old in about 1976 and it was my first(of many). I removed the round firing pin and set it aside after reading the artical by Pyle on out of battery firing/broken firing pin. I still shoot it ocassionally with factory duplication M2 ball. IMR 4895, 50 gr, 150 ball bullets Winchester brass. That's what cartridges of the world says and it does about two or three inches at 100 yd off the bag. It still has a mirror bore which is VERY important to me. When I got it it had the nickel oiler in the butt. Also second pattern combo tool.

I did put a data sheet on Garandicon collectors website but they have corruption issues so I don't go there much. I have talked to other members who have virtually dozens of this type of rifle so I'm glad if I can't afford a pile of them then I at least have a good example.
