    Ds from the CMP

    I have beem told that most Ds were built in the early 50s from existing rifles if that is true do you think that there will be a sprinkling Winchesters in the current batch of Cs fore sale

    Any Winchester C is a fake

    A Winchester D is quite possible

    I assumed he meant to say D's in the last sentence, since it's D's that the CMPicon has listed. At least I don't remember seeing any C's on the site.

    There is a huge lot of M1C's on the way

    see back issues of GCAicon Journal - there was a comprehensive acounting of types and variations sorted at CMP South by the GCA

    There are some Winchester M1icon D's at the CMPicon but I don't know if they will be for general sale or auctioned. The one I saw at the convention was going to be auctioned and had the accessories.

    I was at the CMPicon South Store Last week and saw the M1D's first hand. Overall they were very impressive. Stocks and finish nice, mix of the DAS and the correct SA Boxed and RA Cartouche. A few had the Green park, most were the black Park. ME 1.5, TE 2.0+ on most, saw a few very nice 6 digits, all were Springfield mix-masters.
