Not sure what you are trying to say, I see NO ammo on that list that is corrosive. Please elaborate a bit more on your statement.

The 4th post is from Orest: "there will be more than one country represented and some of it will be corrosive. When we do have it ready for sale - we'll identify country of manufacture and which is and which is not corrosive."

So, it looks like there will be more than the Greek XHP we've been used to.

I hope the corrosive stuff is 4¢ a round, match cases & bullets, uncrimped primers & salvageable powder!

Dang, they fought WWI, WWII, and Korea w/ "corrosive" primed ammo and people still want their "Vet. bringback rifles w/ pristine bores. Seems the "oldtimers" weren't worried...

Hot water, maybe a little soap, and repeat.

Primer life is Longer w/ corrosive primed ammo too.

ETA When the "Kings of the World" decree all primers must be lead (Pb) free, "corrosive" primers could very well be the next best option for you hoarder types.

Wouldn't the corrosive salts get into the gas cylinder and all over the op rod, too? Where else would it end up?

I wouldn't be worried about the bore since as you said soap and water would clean that up. I'd be worried about it getting into the places that aren't so easy to reach. I'd want to field strip the whole rifle after each firing session to make sure I got it all everywhere.

The gas cylinder and oprod piston are stainless steel, very resistant to corrosive ammo residue.

The op rod body itself WILL rust, unless you clean it. Then, no rust!
