I've been looking out for a no4mk1 milled type rear sight, with the markings EFD or E on the front face in that upper left corner for some time now, but in a couple of years I've seen not a single one ... I've seen more LB's by far, and they're a little thin on the ground.
Did EFD make milled micrometer rear sights for the no4mk1, or am I looking for something that doesn't exist?
thanks,
and btw
does anyone know of a forum or site for those cool lee speed type enfields?

Rare! Trials rifles only, so far as I know. 4 and 6 click versions, but whether any are set up for the "plunger" rather than the "ball" spring loaded "positioner" in the receiver, I don't know. Maybe some of the post-1933 vintage stuff.

In my almost 20 years of collecting. I have found only one loose Enfield made Singer style sight. That was on ebay a long time ago. It happily went on my Trials No. 1 Mk VI which was missing the sight for some reason. I am looking for a spare for my No.4 sight collection but just like yourself have come up empty.

No, but you are paddling up the wrong tree!
:D
I lost one once - how's that for upsetting?

Hmmm, sounds like you are up the tree without a paddle..... or doing something wrong
I've only seen two Long Branch marked Mk1 sights in the last couple of years not including the one on my 1941 LB Mk1...
