    Weird ( to me) Garand.

I am looking at a Garandicon that I fund a bit weird.....

Springfield 3268xxx ( 1944?) Barre; 1 SA 4 45. Bolt D28287-19SA A-8; Trigger housing is all IHC. Op Rod is D35382-9 SA. The finish of all the parts ( but the gas cyl.) is dark green. ( Very nice condition) .

The stock is dark walnut ,VERY clean and almost no dings. THE ONLY marking on the stock is number 79 on the bottom of the grip.

TE is less than 3 and the muzzle looks very good.

What do You think I am looking at?

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Doesn't sound like anything weird to me. Sounds like a typical M1icon with some mixed parts and a replacement stock. If it's in nice shape, great, buy it, shoot it, enjoy it. You haven't stumbled on anything special collector wise based on your discription.
