    Who made this M14 stock?

Are these pictures enough to identify the maker of this stock? Is it a Winchester?

    WINCHESTER MADE M14 Stock

A few years ago I picked up TEN CASES of Winchester made stocks in South Americaicon that ALL had that tiny cartouche at the rear of the trigger group slot.
Olin-Mathieson was printed on every case of TEN stocks too.ALL had a white vinyl block in the slot for the top of the "flapper" buttplate.
One or two had TIGER STRIPING that you just couldn't BELIEVE on a military walnut stock.

NEVER should have flogged off those stocks !!

    Thanks alot John R.

I bought this stock in the mid 90's at a gun show during the time that stocks of all kinds were showing up at gun shows as a result of captain crunch. The stock is in absolute mint pristine condition. The M14icon rifle that it came off of had to be in unissued condition when it was destroyed. What a shame. I've always wondered who the manufacturer was. Thanks for the ID confirmation.

John: As I do contract research, maybe you can help me.

How was it marked to indicate it came from South Americaicon and which country?

Do you remember the name of the company in South America? Do you remember the dates?

    Any information will help.
