    op rod

why do you want to swap it? it is safe to use as is unless you just want to swap it with a cut one.

I agree. If it shoots fine, don't mess with it. The CMPicon guns should be left alone, my opinion. No danger in shooting with that rod. Currently no a lot of difference in value on the 9SA rods, maybe 50 bucks.

But, here are some good instructions - Detail Stripping The M1 Garand Rifle

    Thank You !

Yeah, its a little weird. Got two nearly identical Garands. Both 5.4 both minty with original barrels. GI post WWII wood. But the op rods, trigger groups and bolts are mixed. Both work perfect . I noticed that the one with -9 uncut op rod is VERY accurate. Maybe I should leave it alone. But people say that uncut oprods will brake.

" people say that uncut oprods will break"

Yes, it might crack ... after you have fired three or four grenades. A lot of "people" who give advice should first know what they are talking about.
