My all Beretta M1 Garand in 7.62x51mm

Just got back from Shuff's my Beretta M1icon Garand in 7.62x51mm (1/2" short). This project rifle has been going on for the past 3 years. I was finally able to aquire the last few missing parts to complete the project. Every part is marked "PB" except for the barrel (a SA shortened and rechambered by the Italians), and the stock (marked MT).

Most of the PB parts I got back when the CMPicon was still selling Danes less wood. The remaining parts came from Andy in Italy, E-Bay, Gunbroker, gun shows, and some excellent members on this board and Culvers.

The stock and handguards were new in the wrapper. The op rod in marked 7.62x51mm on the side and is made by Beretta as well. The hardest part to get was the rear sight aperture.

Many thanks to Shuff's for the fast and excellent work (total of 1 week from me shipping it to him, getting the work done, and sending it back to me.)

Heading to the range tomorrow for break in and sight in.

This almost rounds out my collection of Italianicon M1 Garands.

    PB in 7.62x51mm (1/2" short)

    I'll post pics tomorrow.

I'm doing the same thing you did. I started with a new Beretta rec in the 6K range that I picked up at the Stutgart gun show (Germanyicon) many years ago. I've been slowly working on getting the parts needed, but have been looking for new parts rather than used since I'm building on a new receiver.

I still need some parts - the hand guard clip, rear sights, gas cyl assy and seems like a few other small parts, but it's slowly coming togather.

How were you able to get the receiver into the USAicon? Can it still be done?

    Sarge:

I think almost all of those parts were (or are) on Gunbroker in the past few weeks.
