Do surplus Garands surface once in a while in Canada , and what do they go for
I have been surfing the web for a while and havent found anything .
I even went to a nice gun action in town yesterday , but no luck .
People seemed to be paying over the odds for long guns too so sadly i diddnt pick anything up. the stupidist thing was SKS`s were going for $300 when there was a store a block away that was selling them for $180 incl taxes.:dunno:

Garands are available all over the country. You just have to be in the right place at the right time.

Unfortunately for the prospective Garand buyer, they seem to be going through a real increase in popularity. Translation: prices are way up. Rifles that sold for $200 or less a few years ago are now selling in the $600 price range. The Exchange on CGN normally has a couple Garands for sale every week.

That was the Bud Haynes auction you're refering too? Were the SKSs normal Norincos or were they Yugo?

It was the bud haynes . but the SKS`s were not yugos .Norincos with a blade bayonet ? i diddnt look too hard as i already have one . they looked new out of the box . What is CGN im kinda new to the gun scene here in Canada .being raised in the UK and my Military collecting is in its infancy . Although family old Canada.

If they were Norinco commercial SKSs, that's obviously overpriced. The early production Chinese military SKSs had a blade bayonet.

CGN is www.canadiangunnutz.com (http://www.canadiangunnutz.com). I must say, I'm surprised you found this site before CGN.
