I was on the Aimsurplus website today and noticed they are selling ORIGINAL K31 bayonets and scabbards, cleaning kits, slings, magazines, and muzzle covers. The prices for the original bayonets are less expensive than the reproduction one for sale on other websites. Bought a pig sticker for my swiss miss! (or to be politically correct my Swiss Ms.)

Can't find 'em anywhere on the Aimsurplus site. I searched Swiss, K31, and Bayonet = nothing.
Did you clean 'em out?

AIM's rifle prices seemed reasonable. The accessories seemed kind of high, but it's been a few years since I bought my stuff. I think I paid 40-45 bucks for the bayonets I have. I wish AIM would get the name of the rifle correct.

"Swiss Schmidt Rubin K31 7.5 Swiss Rifle"

The K-31 is not a Schmidt Rubin.

I would like to find a good price on a Swiss dagger, I should have bought when they were $100. They are pushing $200 now.

I didn't think the bayonet price was too high considering it was in very good+ condition and the scabbard had over 90% of its blueing and no marks or dings. For a time original bayonets were scarce and relatively unobtainable. Reproductions on some sites are going for $100 and original frogs for $40. BTW, I bought my K31 from AIM several years ago and paid $89 with the "cherished tag" under the buttplate (and later on, with my intervention, a letter from the soldier who carried it for 20 years).

A few years ago AIM ran a special on a K-31 accessory kit, bayonet, sling and cap for $50. That's were the worn bayonet came from, the as new came with a rifle I picked up FTF.

Madcratebuilder,

That frog looks like a new reproduction. I believe the correct frog for the K31 bayonet was the one with the buckle as in the picture below. I was not able to find one in my price category so I made a visit to the local Tandy Leather store and purchased a piece of leather, brown dye, and a buckle and made one, which without too much bragging, was hard to tell from an original.

BTW the attachment is not my bayonet. If I ever get my camera working correctly, I'll post my bayo, scabbard, and manufactured frog.
