    Announcement Garand on tactical show

I saw on a tactical show last night that show cased the M1icon Garand with guest Scott Duff. Mr. Duff talked about gas traps and what some of the downs in the design were. They also did a comparison between the K98icon and Garand. They put to rest the myth about the ping giving away your loaded status. The host went down range starting at 100 yards and moved up to 25 yards all with no hearing protection and couldn't discern the ping when the shooter ran dry but could pick up the action being closed when loading.

Then there was a comparison between the carbine and Garand. All in all, pretty good.

That would be "tactical Arms", hosted by Larry Vickers, on the SPORTSMAN CHANNEL, available on cable & DirectTV. He does a lot on MilSurps of all flavors.

Web site: Home | Tactical Arms, but it doesn't look like they have any videos online.

This episode was on this week, and the show is on Weds. & Thurs. on my cable system. I just watched it on my DVR, and it was GOOD.

Will try to figure out if I an get it on the computer & post it somehow, otherwise you will have to wait for re-run season. It appears to be done for this week.
