WITHOUT WARNING - CANADIAN SNIPER EQUIPMENT OF THE 20TH CENTURY" by Clive Law.

Mint soft cover book has 88 pages and includes 140 illustrations. The book examines the many styles of sniper rifles and optics used by the Canadian Army.

It starts with the Ross Rifle of WWI which was used with the Warner & Swayze telescopic sight. The book looks at the issues and useage of a variety of sniper rifles.

For the WWII period the book looks at a medley of equipment used in the early years of the war. It then examines new information on Small Arms Limited (Long Branch) and their experimental rifles as well as information on Research Enterprises Limited and the experimental scopies they developed for the Long Branch rifles. It includes the Lee Enfield No 4 (T) sniper rifle produced at Long Branch. Post War rifles of the Canadian Army include Garand, Parker-Hale C3, and C3A1, the FN C1 and C2 (FAL) and also the Macmillan Bros. Tac50.

Great reference book that is based on original research at the Canadian National Archives and the Department of National Defence.
