This is the most comprehensive book on the 14 million bolt-action K98k rifles produced from 1934 to 1945. It provides extensive information on the military and commercial background to this rifle, the materials and methods used in manufacture, inspection and acceptance, a year by year chronology of manufacture complete with illustrations of markings and data sheets on over 100 contractor/year variations. <p>
There is also info. on contracts for the SS, China, Portugal, Sweden and Japan, plus that of many rare "one-offs" and experimentals. Accessories are described and illustrated. Lots of details and specifications of the rifles. Excellent book for collectors and researchers <p>
