Here is a All original Matching Example of a DOU43 German WWII Mauser . I Obtained it from the Vet who brought it back himself. There is no chance this is a recent import or a cobbled up parts gun . Nothing has been cleaned/polished or spruced up in any way. The Vet was in the Navy and operated the water landing crafts...Apparently from what he told me he helped out a couple of GI's with supplies or something similar..on the third trip in the Gi's found him and gave him this mauser. It was off of Omaha beach im told, circa 1944 . The Rifle was brought home in 1945, He made a custom carry case for it out of his Sea Bag- i have it and will include it if winner wants it.He had papers on the rifle when it was brought home, They are misplaced, he promised to send me them if/when they are uncovered...i will send them to the winner if i ever get them . As Far as the rifle , It has all matching #'s thoughout it. Good rifling, Excellent condition overall, Has typical Handling Marks, Has not been fired since 44 im told . I cant imagine this rifle having alot of rounds through it. Please check out all the pics of the various markings. If you need more i will be Glad to take specific shots.
