    Original GI parts

Anybody have a go-to place to find original GI parts for 1911s? I'm in need of a checkered Colt A1 WWII slide stop and can't locate one.

    TIA

What is the serial number of your pistol. It makes a difference, if you really want a slide stop that looks like it should when installed.

Thanks guys for the replies. My Colt seems to be a rebuild. Serial number is 8674XX. Right now it wears a dull black serrated slide stop but I don't know if it is GI or not. My pistol seems to have made it to rebuild point but it probably want an arsenal as there is no arsenal stamp?

Not all Arsenal rebuilds were marked.... and Maint. Depot rebuilds were never marked. It needs to be verified by someone with experience' in hand '.... or post some very good detailed pictures.

I have a bunch of them, so contact me. This is NOT a general offer to sell parts, however if I can help an individual restore his gun, I will...
