Seller Says:

Great opportunity to re-create a piece of sniping history. What we have here is an early Periscopic prism company scope manufactured for, and marked to, the Gibbs Company. Gibbs amongst others converted the smle rifle to sniper trim under contract to the British War Dept using their own and other manufacturers mounts, as you can see from the photo's this scope is clearly marked to Gibbs on the the elevation drum and is also marked with graduations to 500 yards and what apppears to be an smle serial number. Included in this auction are a reproduction PP Co base, scope ring and original leather case. The base mounts for installation to the rifle reciever have been doing the rounds for a few years now but you just don't come across the scope rings themselves either original or repro.

The winning bidder will also receive the correct drill and tap required as well as five correct screws (5ba).

I didn't really want to part with these items and one day planned to get round to installing them on a rifle myself, but as I've been thinking that for well over two years now I decided it was time for them to go.

Get your bids in early and don't miss out on this rare opportunity!!!!!!!!

If you have any questions or would like more photo's please drop me a line.

Please note: paypal is for the convenience of buyers outside of the UK. If you are the wining bidder and live within the UK please pay by personal cheque or cash.

Postage chargs will be completely transparent, winning bidder should contact me at the close of the auction for an accurate postage charge.

Winner bidder will get the postage method and charge of their choice, but please keep in mind if you choose the cheapo no insurance option and the item gets damaged or lost it's not my problem!
