Ghurka Kukri

Any forum members ever involve themselves with Khukuri or Kukri knives? I see Sarco has some and there are places to order them direct from India. They would be great to have in a truck as a back up weapon.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. My father brought one back from Burma in 1945. The blade was most like Sarco's "Military 12 inch Khukuri" or "13” heavy blade deluxe kukris". It had an ivory handle and a an aluminum end piece (about the thickness of aircraft skin) very similar to those shown. Collectable Bayonets

I doubt the 18" version is authentic. Balance would be quite different.
