Turn your single barrel into a semi auto! Vintage

Really works! Barrel opening hits small lever and new shell is placed in chamber. Swivels in.

Taken at my friend's gun shop. It is for sale but that is not the reason I posted it...

Never seen one of those. Cumbersome looking but interesting. Is that a Colt or S&W on the counter in front of the catalog?

I do not really know. Concentrating on getting a good image. I could find out for you though. I would like to buy that loader for "smiles and giggles" to add another strange thing to my collection

No worries, just saw the lanyard ring and got curious. Kinda looks like a Victory Model from here. Besides, I'm too broke to pay attention right now. Seems everything I have wants to break down all at once. In the last 2 mos. my Ford tractor quit(generator and ignition switch), AC compressor went out on one service truck, second service truck has to have the front suspension rebuilt, magneto went out on one of the Lincoln welders, alternator&voltage regulator went out on my personal truck and tomorrow I have to solder up some holes in the gas tank of the lawn mower so I can finish cutting the grass................. wonder whats next?

I just do not see how this can work as a semi-auto . What opens the bbl. ? What pushes the round into the chamber ? What pivots the loader out of the way ? How does the bbl close ? Does the hammer cock on opening , closing , or is the trigger double action ?

I guess you could call it a semi-semi auto. You have to break open the shot gun. Upon opening the barrel hits a little lever and the shell swings into place. I do not remember if it self feeds. You have to pull the hammer back, shoot, and re open the gun.

All for a price of $499.00! Includes the shotgun also1

Down here we'd call that a manually operated repeater , like a bolt action rifle or pump action shotgun or a gat'lin gun.

That makes me think of my triplet and scott CW carbine I have. The tube magazine is in the butt stock. The action works by pivoting on a pin. As it goes around it ejects the spent case and then pushes open a sliding trap door that shoves a fresh cartridge in the chamber. You then rotate it back to finish the sequence.
