    Advice Plse.

A bit like X Factor i have reduced a cast of thousands down to the last two..... what am i talking about ? ..... SMLE MKIII (latest purchase) which is becoming surprisingly difficult and that's why i need your expert thoughts and personal opinions of course.
Both are really nice and the same (very) reasonable price, but very different.
I intend to shoot the 'chosen one', but i also like the originality and classic look of the smle. so here they are ...
    1. BSA made 1916 (new barrel) original fittings WA rear sight cut off etc. lovely walnut wood.
    or
    2. Lithgowicon 1916 (1945 FTR) Heavy barrel excellent bore full FTR stamps on butt and v. nice wood, i think it looks like maple .... no cut off and no windage on the rear sight, not sure would this be right ?
    as always with thanks

It would have had them originally but had them removed and maple would be right unless it's been restocked.

Do some over time and get both.

Otherwise i'd prob go with the BSA. Having a cut off and a walnut stock is quite appealing to me.

    Buy both.

Clean them and then shoot them.

Then wait a few weeks and start searching to buy more.

There like ex-girlfriends...............you can never have too many.

    Paul

ps If you van only afford one, I'd buy the the Lithgowicon and leave a deposit on the BSA.

Yep i concur go with the BSA as the windage adjustments make a big difference and if your after that authentic look the BSA is the go. If you want to build a good range rifle then go for the Lithgowicon, either way you cant loose.
