A buddy sent me this link. Most I've never seen before. Some are hard to look at.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I will accept PayPal, Zelle, MO and good old checks (and cash if you want to stop by for a tour!). CLICK BANNER to send me a PM for International pricing and shipping. The anti-war sentiments among the American population was still very evident when I joined the Army in March 1977. My dad was a Naval officer who had flown in and out of Saigon in the early 60's. Because of what he went through as an officer, he certainly didn't want me joining as enlisted, which I did anyway, finally retiring in January of 1998. All I can say is that I am glad that the American population is no longer anti-military, finally realizing that the soldiers do what they are told to by our civilian leadership.

And I still change the channel whenever I happen to run across a program with "Hanoi Jane" Fonda. I don't care how many times she tries to say that she's sorry. But that's what is so great about our country - the ability to make those choices. And that's my $.02 worth on the subject.

Even for us born during the time, Hanoi Jane is a traitor and should have been charged and imprisoned for what she did.

I remember. Julius and Ethel? Both went to the electric chair, one then the other. Even here in Canadaicon there was an audible gasp as Jane consorted with the enemy. Or is that term to harsh?

    Am I getting political???

    Brings back bad memories

Remembering how that sun was waiting for you every day, over and over. It hurt to be out in it. All that filthy water, jungle fatigues, M14s, bandoleers, butt packs, web gear, rain beyond belief, bad food, rats like cats, jungle rot on your legs, jungle junk. Lots of ways to die; plane crashes, chopper crashes, truck wrecks, mines, mortars, ****ed off people, disease, gunshot wounds, claymores. Saw a monk burn himself up; that was wonderful for a 22 year old kid to watch. May66-May67 You could put a gun to my head and I wouldn't go back there.
