    vickers transit box

I have talked to you good gentlemen before about this box which i picked up from evil bay, the transit box is in reasonable nick considering its age. I am currently trying to put her back to original specks and have only found a few paltry picks on the past links.
Has any one got some more detailed pics of a vickers lewis transit box or atleast some schematics so i can get to and rebuild it for posterities sake as i would hate to butcher it to make a sniper box, where the history of this box is well displayed to see.
    Regards

I spose you might have if you have secure means, and you peruse the public folders of that said web system, I had asked on that system aswell but thought i might try my luck on this one aswell due to the fact of a far greater coverage. At this point in time ive had stuff all response on either to my question.

Can't help you Fergs, what is this sudden interest in rebuilding old box's, We used to throw this type of thing on the fire as we stood around with a beer having a yarn.

    Fergs,

Happy to help out if I can. I haven't got too many detailed pictures to hand but can get some over the next couple of weeks. I'll see about improving the ones on my website.

    Regards

well i spose thats what makes things so expensive these days and so collectable is the thrill of the chase as people in the past have burnt destroyed scrapped and generally buried our history, well i didnt end up with a mk111 transit box but a vickers, so it will have to do as a side attraction for me to rebuild to get my skills up for building a mk111 transit box.
