My first venture into Enfield Rifles

Recently I purchased this really nice No7 Longbranch Trainer. It is the very first Enfield in my collection. Matching serial # and Transit case. I think I did well.

    Look a nice rifle.
Just to get the nomenclature correct the No7 rifle was manufactured by BSA and had a 5 round magazine (the only .22 Enfield model that had a magazine)

The 'model' you have is known as a "CNo7" (ie Canadian Mk7)

You will have hours of inexpensive fun with her.
Mine are not the best, but they are not too bad. I can think of lots of Enfields I'd rather have but instead of constantly striving for more, sometimes it's good to be satisfied with what one has...

Great, another rifle on my "Holy Grail" list...

(Now I have a desire to watch John Cleese playing Tim the Enchanter...)

Those C No.7s don't turn up in my neck of the woods ever - thanks for sharing

Yes, it did. Condition is what got me. I have never seen one as nice. Took me all of 5 seconds to make up my mind. Actually I never took it out of the case/ just saw the top of the rifle and brought it.
