Here's a 1945 dated Russian M44 Laminate and K31 (apparently 1954 manufacture. Both were purchased from Tradeex.

The M44 will join the ranks of my Rusky 31/30, M38 and Polish M44. I just thought it prudent to buy a laminate rifle while they're available at a reasonable price. I was really impressed with the condition of this rifle.

The K31 will join another K31 that I bought from Anthony about a year and a half ago and an M1911 that I lucked into last summer. I was so impressed with the worksmanship and trigger-pull on my first sample that I wanted to get another one while they remain readily available. The supply of rifles seems to be drying up in Switzerland and amongst the American importers, which motivated me to purchase another right now.

This rifle was clearly more heavily used than my first buy, though hardly surprising since the better ones had been sold off earlier. The rifling is still excellent and some of the bluing around the muzzle and front band is worn. The stock, despite a tiny crack near the butt and overall wear is not nearly as "beaver chewed" as I feared and is fairly free of any huge dents.

I was able to acquire a St-Marie mount thanks to Diopter and plan to scope one K31 while keeping the other as is.

I had a good month. Picked up an all correct Underwood M1 carbine with a WW2 sling and stock pouch. :thup:

And, even more rare and exciting, odly enough, I have a rear sight leather cover for a k98k comming. You dont see those for sale very often. :super:
