Here is a little tool I made for removing and installing that tiny pin in the elevation slide. The screw is an 8-32. I drilled the end with a #57 bit to about .25" deep. I then lopped off 7/16" of the shank of the said #57 and seated it in the hole I had just drilled. That leaves just enough exposed punch to get the pin all the way out without being too flexible. Really better than whacking at it with a hammer and punch.
