    No4 MK1 1946 Fazakerley production?

I have a No4 MK1 Fazakerley with a 1946 date stamp on it. According to Stratton for the year 1946 no No4 rifles (Serial numbers) have been "observed" (page 167 Britishicon Enfield Riflesicon Vol 2).

    My No4 MK1 is marked:
    No4 MK1 (F) FTR
    MB218XX

On the back of the action body where the but stock attaches to the rifle its marked:

    MB218XX
    1946

I have found on the inernet another 1946 No4 MK1 Fazakerley with a serial #EC26xxx

If no No4's where made in 1946 when was this rifle made?

    Thank You!

An EC prefix would've been manufactured in 1943, and an MB prefix in 1944. 1946 would seem to be the FTR date.
