Ishy 2A1. Anyone have experience with these rifles? Good or bad?
Thanks

Mostly good, but use 7.62 NATO ammo, nothing hotter.

From what I've read off of another site a few weeks ago, using .308 Win could stretch the reciever and cause problems with headspacing within 100 to 200 rounds. This came from a dealer who got back a bunch of rifles from his customers that developed problems within months of purchasing them. Apparently the stretching of their recievers made the rifles NS. Consequently, unless I knew the previous owner who could vouch that .308 wasn't fed into it, I would only buy one from a store that got it direct from Century, Samco or similar dealer that bought them from the Indian government.
Admittedly it's all second hand advice, but it was enough to convince me to be cautious....
Good Luck,

Well, we have two of them to prepare entries for and bring on-line in the MKL, it's just finding the time for the photography and supporting materials.... :)

Hmm... methinks one of those two will be AWFULLY familiar... and AFAIK it only ever say 7.62 NATO rounds.
