Any Enfield experts or gunsmiths in Denver area?

I may have asked this here before, but I'm looking for a gunsmith in the Denver area that's an Enfield specialist, or at least knows them very well. I have five now, and just want them checked over real good for now, to check headspacing, inspect throats and bores, etc.

    Any recommendations appreciated! Thanks!

You could try Chuckindenver. He's here among us. I think he's got enough experience to sort you out.

Yes, I know Chuck! He did an outstanding job on reparking my M1icon! But I believe I asked him about Enfields, and I "think" he told me doesn't mess with 'em, but I could be wrong. Might have been another 'smith I know.

Any more input on this? I have five of these old rifles, and now that Criterion is going to be offering barrels I just may need someone to install one or two. But in the meantime I'd really like to have them looked over.

If I might respectfully suggest it Ron, just CHSing them is easy. As for the throats and bores, we used to do all sorts of trials and tests and gauge limits on them but now we've abandoned all of that stuff. If a rifle barel is suspect, we take it onto the Armourers test range and do an accuracy test. If it fails to group, REGARDLESS OF HOW THE BORE LOOKS, the barrel is replaced. If it pases the accuracy test, regardless of how it looks, with some exceptions of course, such as a bulge or similar defect, then it's retained. Simple as that.

So please don't scrap or change something just because it doesn't look good or fails some obsolete test limit

There are plenty of examples but time is tight............
