    1942 Long Branch No4 Mk1- barrel marking

Recently bought a 1942 Long Branch No4 Mk1. On the top of the barrel is marked Surrey. Can anyone tell me more about the barrel? Is it a replacement from a non government rebuild?
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Doug
