Got my 2nd GI 1911A1 today

Bought an Ithaca last month, decided it needed a companion, so here is my Remington Rand, arrived today. Right grip panel is a Colt so I ordered a Keyes grip. Serrated MSH is too early I know, so I'm on the lookout for an 8 rib housing. Still..I think it's a nice addition. All I need now is a Colt and US&S (for WW2).

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. It almost looks brand new. Like my 2012 Auto Ordanance i just bought. Both a reflection on how well it was reproduced and how well yours was maintained. How hard was yours to find and a ball park price would aid me in my endevour to find one myself. Thanks

I bought it on Gunbroker for $1450. Seller said the previous owner had bought it as a DCM gun way back when and had kept it.

Thanks. I have a 2010 firearms book and experts say throw it away ( usually when the book price is lower than what their asking ) and that seems to be a good price for what looks like condition excellent. Good job.
