    C Company 2-54th Graduation Ceremony

My wife and I just returned from the “Turning Blue” ceremony and graduation exercise for our grandson. He completed 14 weeks of basic training, Charlie Company 2 Battalion, 54 Infantry Regiment at Fort Benning, Ga. After visiting the museum and viewing the ceremonies I have a new appreciation for our Army Infantry. What a blessing to see so many young men turn into infantry solders. Our grandson is in the Georgia Army National Guard and is attending college at the University of Georgia. God bless our Military.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I will accept PayPal, Zelle, MO and good old checks (and cash if you want to stop by for a tour!). CLICK BANNER to send me a PM for International pricing and shipping. Hello Billy,
Our Blessings to your grandson. His service and sacrifice to this country is appreciated at the highest level, from the hearts of all Americans and her allies.
He and his new family will share both highs and lows. But will do so as a family.
With my daughter down in San Antonio at Fort Sam Houston having just graduated her A and C school, now waiting for her orders to head for 2 years to Naples, Italyicon to be posted. I can't help but think back watching her and other recruits leaving from the Recruiting Office back in Sep 2011 and thinking how young they all were, OH how very young. Now I see that mature look and actions she displays that can make a Father so proud. When you realize how big their new family is and see the same maturity in the others, you have that same sense of pride. God Bless them all and keep them safe. They are now the new 'Greatest Generation'.

My Wife and I can't imagine how hard it could have been for the families of GI's before the days of Cell phones, Computers, Facebook and SKYPE. The letters are great, but being able to hear and see your loved ones in real time makes life so much easier while their out there serving us!

There was a time not too far back that we'd only give to 2 charities, one being ST. Judes, the other the local food bank. Now we include the Wounded Warriors and last but far from the least the USO.
The USO went over and above helping my wife and I when my daughter flew out of Chicago to Texas. Long story but they are top notch in my book. The USO stays stationed at many of the large airports offering hot coffee, eats, etc helping these young GI's and families.

Everyone: Please keep us up to date for any family member serving.

    Bless them all.

    Congrats My Friend,
    Charlie
