#4 Mk1(T) Zeroing

In researching my British sniper rifle #4 Mk1(T) I find that :
1 The scope does not match the rifle's serial number:sos:.
2 The scope is the unpopular Mark 1 which suffered from a number of defects that were resolved in subsequent modles.

Apparently zeroing this scope is quite a challenge but I'd like to try regardless. A "key" or tool was originally issued w/ the rig for this purpose. Anyone know what it looked like or can suggest what one might utilize in its absence?
