Anyone know where I can buy a front sight cramp for the Enfield No 4 Mk1* Long Branch??? It is a tool that fits over the front sight and has a long screw on one side, with which you screw in and out to move the front sight blade....I have been looking for weeks now and have not found anything. Would appreciate anyone's help on this matter. Thanks

Stan I ordered the L2 tool last week. I know it's going to work. BTW do you make a small tool to turn the screw to loosen the front sight on the No 4 Mk 1*?

I made one by cutting a slot in the end of a small brass punch with a wheel on my Dremel. Works perfectly and cost very little.

I just made one from a 6 pt wrench in one of my screwdriver sets. It works fine. Thank God for Dremels.

I made one from an old screwdriver. It works fine.Just cut off the existing tip and slot it with a Dremel tool or a hacksaw.

You can even do it to an old allen wrench. Works great.

The bolt dissemble tool has a screw driver at one end of the handle and the front sight tool at the other end, why make one?

If you want to buy a nice one, try this link: Lawrance Ordnance - Tools and Gauges (http://www.lawranceordnance.com/shot_and_shell/accessories_tools/index.php)

I bought one a few years ago and it works great. So do the sight pushers, and the headspace gauges and the...

As apprentices, we would all modify the original foresighjt adjusting tool by cutting the necessary reverse screwdriver slot in the end of the thumbscrew lever of the tool so that it was always with the actual tool. On the L42's we'd just replace the screw with a 4BA allen headed screw to lock it up.

We'd do it properly of course....., with a hacksaw and it'd be hardened and tempered afterwards...... and the quality of the work would be marked by the class teacher too! No butchery with a dremil then of course
