I found this online, please educate me, I thought the LB safety was "fishtail" This rifle is a 1942 Long Branch No 4 Mk I*, did the fish tail come later in production?

I believe the fishtail safeties came later, like 49-50 or so.(my 49 has one) I've seen wartime LB's like in that picture...
Someone else may know better though.

There were at least three patterns of safeties made at LB. I agree that the slipper style was the last version.
