What is a Lee Enfield #4 Mk 1(T) worth?

In the last 6-8 months, I've seen a number of mismatched #4(T)'s offered for sale both on the internet and at the Calgary gunshow for $4,000.00 Cdn. I purchased my matching (T) at the Calgary gunshow for $3,000.00, 18 months ago. Can somebody realisticly expect to get this type of money for this rifle when its mismatched?

IIRC there was a No 32 scope and mounts that went for $3K on eBay within the last few weeks.

It kind of makes my $3500 LB matched 4T (1 year ago) kind of a bargain, I guess. Of course, I had to come up with the chest and the scope can.

A guy would be crazy to sell even a mismatched T for much less than 3K these days, since the components are worth more than that.
Today a canvas scope pouch sold on ebay for just under $500 cdn.

I have recently purchased a NO4 mark 1 T dated 1944 sniper weapon....what kind of marks are on the underside of the barrel? Do or anyone else have serial numbers beneath the wood by the breach? Mine has the same serial number as the receiver with out the prefix letter(K) serial #38735 On the right side of the ballel it has a a government mark/44/broad arrow...Does this mean date manufactured....Thanks for any help you can give me...

Prices for matched and mismatched No.4Ts, with and without cases and accessories, have jumped significantly in the past year (and are now outside of my reach - I will have to wait for rich relatives to pop off before I can EVEN look at a No.4T). This is one of the prices of being a collector of increasing rare firearms - you want to buy for as little as possible, but sell for as much as you can. It is obvious that it is a sellers market with No.4Ts, and that won't change any time soon.

An original mount being $500
and a No.32 mark 3 being $1500

I guess a genuine No.4 Mark 1(T) rifle with a mismatched scope could fetch $3000 in the USA.

The reality is though that they can be found for less you just have to be patient and persistent
