I haven't heard much about them since the mid 90s, do they still exist?

I had no intentions of this being a potential poop slinging politics thread as I know there are members here from both Ireland and Englandicon which may be touchy for them. I seen a documentary on Hulu about the IRA and the mixture of small arms I seen in the footage just had my "milsurp peepers" going insane. I mean there was just about every milsurp possible ranging from Lee Metfords up to HK-91s and even M16s. I even seen a few S.A.M.s but no Mosin Nagants and it is a known fact the Russiaicon gave aid to the IRA. I was hoping to see at least one Mosin in the mix but that didn't happen. It may have been the date of production filming but it stopped at 1996 or 1997 and the film was over. I just made me wonder, a fight that lasted over 800 years can't stop just like that..... or could it.

    does the I.R.A. still exist?

Yes....... And the discussion always turns heated and makes me write in bold type. I remember 1979 and how angry I was at them. I'm not saying anymore.

oh so this subject came up before? has anyone ever seen a picture of an IRA combatant with a Mosin Nagant? I know the royal navy sank a ship with a supply of them but I highly doubt the Mosin stopped there. I heard something about the 1916 incident have one of the main rifles used was M91s but still no photographic proof has been found by myself.

No ... never heard of Mosin Nagants being used (not while I was there). And never heard of help from the old USSR. In fact it was an entirely different country that gave them weapons and money over the years.
