Hi folks,
I bought a M95 straight pull Mannlicher long rifle. Now I need to find 8x56r ammo. Is there anywhere in Canada to buy it or will I have to make it? IIRC 7.62x54R can be made to work. Any ideas?

Oatmeal:
Graf sometimes has brass but won't ship to Kanada. Lee has dies and a mold which is still a bit small(about .328). 7.62X54R just needs neck expansion and fire-form, will be a little short, haven't tried yet. Be certain your rifle isn't 8X50R or even 8X57 Mau.. This will be my winter project, check later. Glycerin

I've ordered 8x56R Graf's brass (from PriviPartizan) and 205gr Hornady bullets from BCredneck.com. It came out to $39.99 for 100 cases and about $300/100 bullets. I ordered from him a couple of months ago, but he could probably get you more if he's out.
I've loaded up a couple dozen rounds and am just waiting for an opportunity to try them.....
Regards,
Frank
I shoot cast in my 8x56R guns. Some work well with the Lee 0.329", but for the others, I bought a custom Lee 0.332" lube-sizer and size down 0.338" cast bullets. 6-8 thou is about the limit for sizing down.
For cheap jacketed bullets, try the Speer Hot-Cor 338 sized down to 329 in a the Lee sizer. Use lots of lube and go nice and steady. This method will not work with all bullets - only those with a thin jacket, like the Speer.

SOG has ammo. I have received several hundreds rounds from them. I also roll some of my own.
