I hope that is the case as I would hate to see another board runed by your group please keep things civil here so the mod does not have to get involved.

That's right Rick. We don't want to see another forum go down the tubes.

I can't see any way of replying without quoting the previous msg., unless you do highlight and delete each time :(Oh, yes, you can also look for the little http://www.milsurps.com/images/import/buttons/quickreply.gif icon at the bottom right of each message and use the "Quick Reply" function. If you decide you can't live without the fulle editor, hit the "Go Advanced" button once the Quick Editor loads.

Mark, you are still in charge of "Garand Photo of the day" right? I sure don't want to lose that. Also, who will it be that puts out the "Garand test of the week"? That is great as well. I learned a lot from the last one.

Hello .... :)

Just for clarity .....

We're going to try and get these new forums off to a good start by leaving the sandbox antics behind.

Neither I, or any other moderators will have the patience threshold for inappropriate and immature behavior, watching folks beat on each other for sport. :bash:

So, I'm asking everyone to please re-read the Welcome .... Please Read First! (click here) (http://www.milsurps.com/showthread.php?t=4275) introductory post again carefully, particularly the part that relates to behavior and posting. :nono:

Let's enjoy the hobby and each other, as well as try to remember that what we post on the Internet, is often different than what we would say to the same person face to face, because it's just too easy to hide anonymously behind our keyboards. ;)

We hope everyone enjoys themselves here and if there are any questions or further clarification needed about what's appropriate and not, please don't hesitate to email us at cspadmin@milsurps.com

Thanks for listening and cooperating.....

I think some are upset about this great rule;
"All user names on the new CSP Forums are unique and only available on a first-come-first-serve basis."

Shooter, you know that you can bring up a threaded format kinda like the old board dont you?

Up at the top of the dialog boxes you can select "threaded" from the display modes pulldown.
That will give you a threaded box above and the individual post below.

I lurked at the CSP forum & never liked the format. Every other forum I post on has this or a similar format, which I prefer. You'll get used to it.
Some of you guys remember having to set the choke on the older model cars before you started the motor, right? Well this format is like fuel injection; get in, hit the key & away you go. Progress.
I've actually been a member of the main forum (MilSurp) for a while but never started posting until now. Good to see some names here I recognize from CSP, CMP, surplusrifle & other places on the web.
Regards,
O.S.
